Well, the DiStasio Years Music Reunion is a reality! Over 150 of us had a great time at dinner, visiting and paying tribute to Mr. DiStasio on August 10th. We now have up on our site some pictures of the event. Thank you to Jan McCutcheon Stewart and Tulane Peterson and their digital cameras!
The first pictures are of the reunion band of over 30 people. The director was Greg Bergantz, a friend of the DiStasios and conductor of the San Jose Metropolitan Band. Many thanks to Greg for giving his time to conduct and also for providing the sheet music and the place to meet! The band played together as an open rehearsal, sight reading for almost 2 ½ hours through some wonderful music. These pictures are only available here; they are not included on the reunion video.
Then there are photos of the dinner and tribute. A close-up of the plaque presented to Mr. DiStasio is included.
We did try to identify correctly as many folks as possible (and spell your names right!). If only we all looked like we did in our yearbook pictures, it would be so much easier. We hope you'll enjoy looking at these and reliving the event one more time!
